Disabled leaders won the historic fight to add the life-sized, free-standing statue of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in a wheelchair to the FDR Memorial. The FDR Committee hosted a release of this one-of-a-kind lesson plan series targeted at middle and high school students focused on Washingtonians with disabilities who have advanced the rights of disabled persons and ensured disability representation at the FDR Memorial.
