Honor Flights

Honor Flights bring veterans to Washington, DC to visit the memorials as a thank you from a grateful nation. The FDR Memorial is a frequent visit for these honored guests. 

Accessibility & Comfort

Wide pathways accommodate wheelchairs and mobility devices. Seating is available throughout the Memorial, and the design allows for a gradual walking pace. There are restrooms at the front and back of the Memorial. 

Planning Recommendations

Schedule visits during cooler hours when possible. Drop off is usually on West Basin Drive.  Be aware that the Memorial is large - seven and a half acres.
